 PlantNumberSpacingSpacing in RowsNotes
Arugula 415"3" x 7"didn't plant
Basil 527"5" x 9"did very well
Beans (Bush Snap) 529"5" x 1' 1"good production, something eating bottom of beans hanging near the ground
Beet 825"3" x 7"planted a couple of varieties, touchstone gold beet in garlic row-didn't propagate. ,little queen, red, did nicely. needed to thin as a lot didn't get very big. if thinned could have harvested earlier before skins got cracked
Cilantro 287"5" x 9"grew well before bolting - very tall
Cucumber 61' 11"1' 11" x 1' 11"bad year - they started out beautifully bit tons of rain mid summer brought the blight in in spades. minimal production
Dill 267"5" x 9"didn't do very well
Garlic 925"3" x 9"mixed bag - didn't get scapes off a lot and they were tiny. even the rest weren't too big - i think needed more fertilizer. planted touchstone beets in row after pulling garlic - no production for some reason
Kale 221' 3"1' 1" x 1' 5"plants from clear brook were beautiful. first round of seeds didn't propagate, second round still very small in Sept. i guess should start seeds indoors
Marigold 847"7" x 7"huge
Mustard 275"5" x 5"disaster - seeds were old i guess. replanted with red turnip, hitosaki red, on Aug 2 - nice fruit.
Nasturtium 2611"11" x 11"gorgeous
Onion 1195"3" x 7"terrible year - but at our house too. heat then too much rain - they stayed very small especially the red ones
Onion (Red) 1205"3" x 7"
Pepper 131' 1"11" x 1' 3"didn't plant
Radish 353"3" x 7"nothing - weird
Squash (Summer) 61' 11"1' 11" x 1' 11"none
Squash (Winter) 82' 11"2' 11" x 2' 11"coming in slowly - acorn plants are dying now(Sept) butternut still young
Swiss Chard 131' 1"11" x 1' 3"very good crop and did second planting Aug 2
Tomato (Large) 181' 7"1' 5" x 1' 11"nice production but rain caused a lot of splitting in earlier ones.
Turnip 547"5" x 11"gorgeous - gilfeather plants from CLearBrook
Zucchini 61' 11"1' 11" x 1' 11"great at first - were covered as we saw cuc beatles early. did well until hit by vine borer i believe (didn't check)
